Ok - I'll fess up. Out of curiosity, and perhaps I was a wee bit bored one day... I went to one of those JW 'match' sites, and posted a profile.

(You have to pay to be able to do anything - so it helps to encrypt some sort of e-mail addy in there if you are interested in getting replies.)

The profile that I posted... I said nothing JW related... like most of those signed up do. I kept it 'neutral'... or as neutral as possible... just to see what would happen.

Know what? There must be a boatload of desperate divorced 'sisters' out there. I've gotten _more_ response from that site than I did from other match sites. I mean, they send ME little 'smiles' or if they figure out the e-mail addy, I get e-mails from some.

I usually don't reply - most of the 'hits' that I get require you to be a member of the site.

The one that gets me though are the choices in the profile. They have gone through them and 'cleaned' them up a tad, but there used to be some choices that were definitely 'worldly'... like 'smokes', etc.

What is also interesting are the filters that you can use... like 'education'. The higher you set that one... beyond High School - well... you can narrow down the choices real quick by just going beyond High School. Sad, really.
