What if "the end" happens in 2150?

Just a question.... What if the WTS came out with a FOR SURE prediction based on new light that without a doubt Armeggedon will be here in 2150?

Well, that means that our generation will all die, but we can hope for a resurrection and we have to continue to preach and our grandchildren or great-grandchildren might actually be the ones to walk through the "end" into their "new system"

The question is HOW MANY JW'S WOULD THERE BE? The end is always so "soon" but what if people realized not in this lifetime? Would everyone quit? Would there be a select few that still did it?

Well, first they'd have to find some wacky way with numbers to "prove" that 2150 is the date. Of course, I don't think they did that for 1975...

I think they gave up date predictions all to gether . They now believe it could happen any day . The 1975 was based on wacky dates , supposedly 6 thousand years of mans existence would lead to the conclusion , the whole concept of living in the last days is based on Daniel 4 where they are taking 7 times 360 to conclude that 1914 was the date that christ took his great power and began ruling . It's all a wacky numbers game .

heathen I've always found it interesting that they play with numbers like that, yet they say that 666 in Revelations doesn't code for anything, because a Christian wouldn't play with numerology. Hypocrites.

If that were to occur, we would then "know" that Adam was alone in the Garden of Eden for 175 years before God created Eve and pronounced the sixth creative day "good," and we would also know that Invisible Imaginary King Jesus, who "took power" in 1914, is slower than molasses in mid-winter. Two hundred thirty six years slow.

...and they would have no trouble finding people willing to swallow this crap sideways and believe it with all their hearts.

Yes, but my question was, if it wasn't coming in your lifetime today, how many JWs would quit today? Would some stay "faithful" and still believe and live their life will the knowledge it wasn't coming in their lifetime?

I think most of them would stay in regardless, its kind of hard to break the power of a social control cult (I finally figured what type the JWs are, its not mind control!).

    What if?

2150? not a point - not in MY or OUR (collective) lifetimes, so we're guaranteed a resurrection...

I can understand your question. Afterall, "the end" has been coming since da Judge started this religion. Even if the numbers truly pointed to 2150, I think the JW powers that be would not publish that in any way and keep 'em stoopid and in janitorial work.

    Me? I couldn't give a rat's ass either way.
