    Genesis 7:9-10

    9

they went in by twos to Noah inside the ark, male and female, just as God had commanded Noah. 10 And seven days later it turned out that the waters of the deluge came upon the earth.

    Genesis 7:16 ***

    16

And those going in, male and female of every sort of flesh, went in, just as God had commanded him. After that Jehovah shut the door behind him.

Maybe they can apply this and say that for seven figurative days JWs will be in the ark (with the door shut by God).

Ark = spiritual paradise (as of 1974)

Door shut by God seven days before flood = door shut to new converts 7 figurative days before Armageddon begins

These days, Jesus said, would be "just as the days of Noah were." Noah was called a "preacher of righteousness" and when his warning work was completed and the door of the ark was closed, there were no more disciples made from that generation. The opportunity for salvation had passed.

BTTT=back to the top. So a thread don get buried

the door of the ark was closed, there were no more disciples made from that generation. The opportunity for salvation had passed.

Right now they say the door dont close until BTG is destroy'd but it wouldnt take much to change that to what blondies sayin

Hey blondie dont go giving the GB and good ideas. Let them figure it out themselves. :P

That is the sound that is made when one sticks one's tongue out and blows. It could also be used to say: "Bump to the top" and cause a given thread to be pushed to the top of the list int the Active Topics area.

Blondie - you might be on to something there!

But would that also mean that the preaching will stop for that same time period - they would have to find a way to keep the preaching going - though in Noah's day it obviously would have stopped when the door was closed.

Feb 2006 issue of WT ?Just as the Days of Noah? After we go into negative numbers.

Excerpt: (Para 8) Just 7 days prior to the flood Noah entered the ark for the last time. Jehovah shut and sealed (no doubt hermetically) the arks door. At that moment all hope for salvation for the vast multitude of humankind was lost forever.

Excerpt: (Para 14) In recent times some have felt that the door to salvation might be left open until the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Careful, further examination of the parallel accounts of the flood and Great Tribulation indicate that for some time prior to the destruction of this wicked world the ?door? to the ark of God?s organization maybe shut. This has already been evidenced in some lands where the preaching work seems unfruitful.

Excerpt: (Para 21) Should the apparent closing of the ?door? cause us to slack the hand or become unfruitful in our service to God. Our next article will explain the length of time between the beginning of the closing of the ark, and the true last opportunity for salvation

Will the Society come up with new prophecy to cover the lack of growth now?

No. Their prophet, former WTS president Frederick W. Franz, has been dead for about a decade.

They will continue to recycle mush like "all the evidence clearly shows the end is near" and "God will bring us into a paradise soon" to try to keep their blinded sheep motivated.

I love blondie's realistic WT slant

These days, Jesus said, would be "just as the days of Noah were." Noah was called a "preacher of righteousness" and when his warning work was completed and the door of the ark was closed, there were no more disciples made from that generation. The opportunity for salvation had passed.

So, what's the point of preaching then if the door is already shut? Sounds like a catch 22 to me.

I say seal the door and let the WT boat "Spiritual Paradise" float away without us. Who in their right mind would want to be within 500 nautical miles of that worm infested piece of driftwood.

As already quoted, the scripture is at Matt24:13, "...and because of the increasing lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off."
