I just had a flashback to the scary guys in the white hanes undershirts that grabbed you.
What a traumatizing event for a teenage girl... to be in a swimsuit in front of so many people and then asked some weird questions and then whisked away by some scary guys in white shirts to dunk you under water.
What a weird ass thing to do, now that I think of it.
when I was baptized in St. Paul, they had three busloads (school) of candidates to a school. Because there were so many, no one was allowed to attend... so I had to go alone..
I was 16 and I remember so nervous..I wanted so much to have my mom there.. but she couldnt.. thus no pics..
except this one.. taken after the bus brought us back to the St. Paul Civic Center
Have none. Never took baptism pictures. Always thought that was silly.

I have... from my mother, my daughter and myself - all wearing the same caftan over our swimming suits... (which had to be taken-in for mum - reversed for daughter and enlarged for myself) still have the caftan somewhere. don't know where the pictures are.
