My wife is a lot like yours.She wants me to go to the upcoming circuit assembly with her,but I'm working that day and said I wouldn't take the day off.She said she needs me to go with her because she's afraid of facing some of her jw friends that have treated her like shit.Well,I told her if there really was true love in the org.,those things wouldn't matter and she'd be excited to go.She also misses a lot of meetings because she feels so alone there and out of place and still thinks that it's by attending meetings that we'll make real jw friends.
Well,in 10 years I never made one true jw friend and all her "friends"(except for one) have turned on her due to their conditional love arrangement.Anyways,I'm using this love thing to work at her to prove that it's not the truth.John 13:34-35

You wife sounds like she wants to believe but just cant deal with the reality of the bOrg any more. Have you provided her with suggested reading material? Maybe even printed some of the awesome informative posts from this site for her to read? It's obvious she's in desperate need of reprogramming, but no one can really do it for her but herself.

I wish I could.....and maybe I will in the future if circumstances permit......but she's still in much too deep. Last year when I brought up how the WT was going after a molestation victim in Canada for it's legal expenses I almost got my head ripped off and it was exhausting just to get her to admit that that wasn't a very christian or ethical thing for them to do.
Anytime JW are mentioned in the news negatively, she, typical of WT programming, goes into "we b persecuted""why they have to mention JW' mode yet she didn't think too much of it when I once referred to how the Catholic faithful treat the Pope as a rock star; the very same way JWs treat the WT organization.
