They love our dog's food and come back every few nights. They didn't seem frightened by us at all. Aren't they adorable?

Be sure to keep dogs far away from them. Raccoons are usually the foremost carrier of rabies.
BTW cute picture. I saw one of those critters at night on campus. Scared me at first until I realized what it was.

Our dog is half German Shepherd and half Husky, but a real coward. She is also very old (15) and sleeps most of the time. I'm sure it would never occur to her to try and chase them off or attack them.

You're lucking to live in a place to see that kind of thing. The most I see is a pigeon or *shudder* a spider that is capable of eating a small bird.
