    I spent some time volunteering in Rhys' class this morning. His teacher very excitedly showed me a large package from Country Woman....full of candy from the Netherlands! She was amazed at the great cards Branda sent along with the candy as well as some maps of her area. It was incredible! She hadn't had a chance to show the pics to the class yet so she was planning on doing that this afternoon and then will send them home with Rhys so we can look them over some more. Rhys and I passed out candy to all the kids and the teacher and assistants. Everyone got a taste of each candy and there was quite a crowd asking for seconds! So a great big THANK YOU to Branda for a lovely gift for the kids. The teacher insisted I bring home the leftover candy so I can give the rest of the family a taste as well.

    This project has been so great. I just wanted to thank you all again for participating.

    Where is Stanley now? He still has over two months of travel left so it's not too late!

    Rachel, I only did promote The Netherlands, showing a rural and a industrial part.

    Good that the kids liked the "drop" (I don't) but it is our national speciality and it is available salty or sweet, hard or soft today. (what I send was the most common)

    Since Flat Stanley obvious had to visit all those places (and each tourist is always taking lots of pictures) its obvious why all the pictures.

    In another thread you told that most of the other Stanleys did'nt travel very much. That's not a surprise I think: there will be not much children with a network like this forum behind them......

    Like you I wonder where he is right now.

    Never trust a wine induced aussie to give a guy a straight answer. I never liked the name Stanley anyways......sounds like a tall skinny gay guy with bad teeth.
