A great way to meet people is thru volunteering. Volunteerism has its own rewards, but I have found that a more active social life is an added bonus. I'm a bit shy, and have met some awesome folks this way. Lots of single people volunteer. ;)

I'm on match.com as well, been out with 3 women off the net so far. Mixed results - out of 3:
1 was a great person but I wasn't attracted to, another was not interested in me at all, and the third was a bunny boiling psyco who thrived on constant confrontational banter. I post things like "just looking for a normal woman" - but I haven't found one yet!!!!!
