Thanks for replying. I am a bit concerned with your desire to use other "scriptures" to further the case. Is not the inspired Word of God enough to settle this debate? Why do we need to look to the Koran, for answers? I know of no other book that can provide suffcient proof either for or against the deity of Christ than the Bible. Could you either convince me why we should look to the Koran, or just stick to the Bible?

    Thank you much

I accept the Sacred Councils decisions on the Trinity, after all, no where in the bible does it say that the bible itself is the sole rule of faith and you can not prove the Trinity completely by the bible alone either. You also have to remember that no everyone here is a Christian, by your standards so we cannot all start from the same base when discussing theological matters.

"Trinitarians point to John 20:28 as proof that Jesus is God. There Thomas said (NW): "My Master and my God!" How can this argument be answered??F. W., Philippine Republic.

Jesus is a god. "God" means a strong one."

Thanks for responding. Where do you find God to be defined as "a strong one"? Also I do not see John 20:28 as the proof for the deity of Christ. My text is John 1:1-3. I personally believe that there is grammatical error in the addtion of the article "a" in John 1:1 in the New World Translation. But I see vs 3 as the definitive example advocating the idea of an uncreated Jesus.

Quoting from the New World Translation: "All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence"

My question is, if all things came into existence through him (Jesus), and he did come into existence, how do you render a meaning for the end of verse 3? Apart from him (Jesus) not even one thing came into existence. If he came into existence, and apart from him not one thing came into existence, how does the postulation of a created Christ stand?

So, are we in a misunderstanding regarding the Scriptures? Is the Bible sufficient enough for us? The doctrine of the trinity is a Biblical matter. I am not sure, are there other writings I am unaware of, which I can rely upon as truth, in which the trinity is either proven or disproven?
