Well, I escorted Jack Warden around town when he was making a movie in the Dallas area in 1989...

Well, I'm sure you could tell a few good stories ... Jack Warden has been around (what an excellent character actor), that must have been quite an experience. Coolness!

Well, I'll be damned. I'm only three degrees of separation away from Kevin Bacon. I went to high school with a girl named Debbie Theaker. Over the years, she has had small roles in a number of movies and TV shows. Here is what the oracle said:

Kevin Bacon was in Sleepers (1996) with Dustin Hoffman
Dustin Hoffman was in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004) with Deborah Theaker (and I went to high school with Debbie)

Jack Warden was a wonderful, kind man. Of all things, I was working as a temp at the Studios in Las Colinas when the normal production assistant escort couldn't make it. Some guy asked me if I knew the location of something and I told him where it was, he threw me keys and asked me to take Mr. Warden to the mall to get some film developed. He then said, take Jack wherever he wants to go. I ended up driving him around Dallas. He wanted to go see where Kennedy was shot, so I took him to Dealey Plaza. He then asked me about Southfork Ranch, so I drove him to the ranch (Dallas was still in production.) I was gone about 3 hours and when I got back they asked me where I'd been, Mr. Warden stepped in and said, leave her alone she showed me the 50 cent tour! He then gave me a hug and said thanks!

That's where I also saw John Ritter and his future wife Amy, they were both in the movie. I regret not speaking to Mr. Ritter, however he was in another part of the studios and it was very frowned upon to talk to the "stars" unless we were spoken to first...

    Tres,

You know, that's how I would have imagined Mr. Warden would be. I have seen him interviewed, and he seemed to be a very genuine and nice person. Thanks for telling us that story.

It sounds like you've had some very interesting experiences. I know what you mean about the Ritter thing. I've worked on a few films. It certainly is inappropriate behaviour to talk to a 'star' or major player unless it is 'necessary'. Too bad you didn't get to meet John Ritter, he was, from all accounts, a true 'gem'.!!!

Trying to think of a way I could get a lower Bacon number....My father knew Michael Landon (and actually had a low opinion of him), but that gives me a Bacon number of 4...doesn't really help... :))
