spending time with my sweetheart... or my kids & grandkids....or friends in good conversation over a glass of wine.
And this one that really surprises me, but thinking about it, it's true... public speaking. I do it for a living now, and I am very comfortable with it, now that I've been doing it for a number of years. I don't even get nervous... even if there is a large group. I enjoy the questions I get too... even the ones that I can't answer. I've learned how to handle them.
Painting & drawing... when I'm in the "zone"....there's nothing like it.

I would have to say it`s when I feel comfortable and safe inside myself. Then, I am quitecomfortable anywhere.
But, my real zone would be, well, I have two ...
Alone, way out in the middle of nowhere, at the edge of a clearing, in the shade. It`s a hot summer`s day. The clearing is at the top of a slight rise from a beach (well, just a shingle really) about 20m up from the ocean. There`s a slight breeze. The singsong buzzing of a nearby cricket is loud, as they are in the heat. There is a pair of osprey fishing just off the shore. Crows are calling to each other from time to time. I have a thermos of coffee, and some snacks. There`s a squirrel, the little devil! Wants a bite. hahaha Carving, painting, drawing, or just navel/cloud gazing ...
With people? That`s easy. A big campout with my friends. It`s a birthday party I attend every August. Singing, swimming, campfire, kids, and glorious food. Lots of musicians, they are all easy going.
