That is interesting about the song, Pray to Jehovah Each Day. That was my favorite song, and seemed to be very well written. Now I know why.

I heard George Benson on a radio talk show about 10 years ago, going on and on about how Malcom X was his hero, and it was his life's goal to play him in a movie. He was being considered for it too. Sorry, it went to Denzel Washington. I've always wondered if good old George has stayed in the Borg. I guess he has, because JW friends go to his concerts and he always asks for the JW's to come backstage to meet him. Do they have to show their blood cards, or what?

A family in our old congregation, were studied with by Larry Graham, who now lives in Minneapolis?, I think. Their son spent Spring break with the Grahams and met Prince. Whooooeeee! What an honor!! I talk to the Mom every now an then at Costco, where she works. Her father in law, was a record producer, and has a Gold record. His name is Bobby Martin........now an elder here in Washington. Black, African-American.......he says he is colored, but he is about 65, and just doesn't 'keep up'.

I think there are dubs on staff of some of the TV shows because there seems to be some real 'zingers' on JW's from time to time, on most of the sitcoms, and occasionally on a hospital drama. The Practice had an awesome one this year. Golden Girls had little quips several times, and Saturday Night Live, of course. Frasier, Becker, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc.

Now I will really date myself: When I was a child, we heard that Eve Arden (Our Miss Brooks) was a witness, and Donna Reed's son. That one is true. He was at Bethel, and we knew some guys who knew him. Seemed I heard he died. Not sure.

    bboyneko,

I'm not signed on anyomore. It's been a couple of years since I was in Hollywood. While I was there I was in an episode of "News Radio". I met Phil Hartman before he died. He was awesome. We did Bill Clinton impressions for each other. lol. Andy Dick was really cool too. As far as movies go, I was in "Super Dave: The Movie" and "Baseketball" Both of which all I did was sit in the bleachers to fill the audience.

I used to go karaoke on Sunset Blvd. Once I was singing and when I got off the stage I noticed that Mario Van Peebles was sitting at the table next to mine. He liked my singing and had bought me another beer. I talked him into singing with me! It was the coolest experience!

    Dave,

Yes I was in Scooby Doo. I tried to rob a bank. I would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling kids!

    Thinker's Wife:

Thanks! I could NOT remember Theresa Graves' name for the life of me. I remember in the Afake! article about her, she said she had to quit doing the show, 'cause she told the producers she couldn't do the gun-toting, karate action stuff anymore, after becoming a JW. Wnder what ever happened to her?

Glen Campbell was NEVER a JW although he was baptized at every district convention one summer. That was the rumor floating around the org. But, I repeat, he was NEVER a JW, never studied with nor attended a convention.

Did you guys mentions Slutty spice yet?

    Stacey is that you?

I loved that one song by the New Radicals. I caught the references too.

Slipnslidemaster: "The gods too are fond of a joke."
