I wanted to take a computer class in High School but my mom wouldn't let me, she said that those machines are just toys and that I need to do something more productive like be a Bank Teller. So unlike me. So it was many years before I got to sit in front of a computer.

1995 Was the first time I really used a computer at length. I used to have to go to the library. Then my husbands work gave him a computer to take home. (for homework, haha) I ended up using it most of the time.

This is the first and only ex-jw site I have ever posted on. Sorry, but some of the other ones seem a little generic looking. mo Although to give them credit, I haven't really spent a long time looking around. I used to think that all ex-jw were evil and that it was a big mistake that I was put in that category. Boy, was I wrong! But that is what they want you to think as a jw. I was and still is a good person that just doesn't buy into the mind control anymore. I'm getting off of the subject, sorry.

The internet... My favorite thing to do is googling a search on everything and I'm becoming addicted to this site. I used to have a blog and my own website but it just got to be too much to keep up with. I've taken a few classes in college but would not consider myself an expert at this point. I used to fool around with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, but I'm considering taking a detour with my schooling major and go for something like Psychology. I know this was more info then you asked for but I just feel like talking. Thanks. Love

Psychology is very interesting, I was going to do my degree in that but changed atthe last minute and did social work instead.

Looks like y'all had a head start in PCs, my first was a Pentium 100! 56k modem!

Incidentally, I kind of know the guy who actually invented the internet (no, not Gore), so to speak. I had dinner with him twice, and we talked for hours about the Bible and first-century Christianity. :)) He is getting the Turing award this June for his achievement and I'm going to the ceremony.

JWD was the first site, in fact I wanted the net mainly to find information and I hoped an old friend Df'd would be on one these sites and we would "find each other again" And about three days after I got on the net. and one time of reading I joined jwd and well here I am.

I have only been using the internet for 2-3 years now since I started college. And until this last fall, maybe winter, have not even considered looking at "apostate material", but after my Dfing I have needed someone who understood my peculiar issues and hoped sincerely to find real and true friends. I've never had any real or close friends beyond my family. At times, my family haven't really been my friends, like now. It has only been in the last few days that I have decided to come out of the closet of my husband's moniker and post as Leo's wife. I still, yet, need to get my own moniker. How do I do that?

I've been out since 1983, and I was connecting to BBS services about 20 years ago with a 1200 baud modem. It took until last year when I stumbled across this site to even grasp the concept that there was such a thing as an ex-dub message board.

God damn it, Leolia is married. :-(

I first got online and chatted on QLink in 1984 and progressed quicly into hacking into my high school, Ma Bell, NORAD, you name it. Amazing what you could do with a few hacking programs, the right #s and passwords, and a 1200 baud modem. Yeah I was a big nerd but it was big fun until I discovered alcohol.
