Why do people call it WTBS??????? (page 2)

After reading old soul's reply I too am changing from WTBTS to WTS.

The Pennsylvania corporation (the most important and founding corporation) is known as the:

Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania

Whereas the New York corporation (used mainly for printing and publishing) is known as the:

Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York

So, depending on which acronym one uses, will suggest which corporation is being discussed. The Pennsylvania corporation will have an extra letter because the word "Watch Tower" is split into two words.

Because typing WTBS is as much effort as I can muster to refer to the org, the extra letter, just can't do it.

Watchtower is one word, hence WBTS.

Which one of the Governing Body famously said:

"we were the Watchtower Tract Society long before we were the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society" ?

No doubt another one of those occasions when the Bible got in the way of Watchtower doctrine. It might have been old Fred Franz but I'm not sure.
