What is your POWER?

What is the source? How do you use it? Who has the power you crave?

What power do you want (possible power) and how can you obtain it?

Are you completely ignorant of how power works? Are you only on the receiving end? Are you under the thumb of your spouse, boyfriend or boss, the I.R.S. or Government? Are you suppressed, repressed and held back by power?

Is your lack of power the reason you take pills and hot baths and sip wine and vent on discussion boards? Is your life slowly leaking like an open artery because you've lost out on the power grab?

How does power affect your life???

Power is everything but I do not feel the need to have power over other people to make myself feel adequete. Just power over myself and my life. I'm being repressed heavily from my JW parents and that's pretty much the source of my occasional depression. Power affects all of us but me personally I don't care about somebody elses, as long as I have some for myself.

the greatest manifestation of my power is the hard core desire to NEVER return to the society. THAT is my power...that which enables me to continue my journey away from the wtbs and towards the TRUE meaning of power-survival. -Z-

To me power means wholeness because power comes from within. Whenever I feel whole I feel very powerful. But my power is not over others. It is strength. The strength I need to to carry on. It also works as inspiration in how to carry on best. Whenever I feel connected to myself I am in power. I gain this by looking quietly into myself. I do that by meditation, by longs walks or bicycle riding and by exercising. When I am in power that I am at ease and in a state of peace. This is a very powerful state.

How can you confuse EGO with Power? Pray tell me.

For myself POWER is the means by which I can DO what I will to do.

The "ability" to create or improve things is not the same as the DOING of it.

Overcoming obstacles, working out puzzles of existence and breaking through the barriers and limits requires the use of POWER.

No matter what you believe inside, no matter how clever or resourceful a person may be; without the force that actually MAKES THINGS HAPPEN it is all passive brain masturbation.

It is not unlike a person professing love and then doing little or nothing to demonstrate that affection.

The world seems filled with disconnected beings who merely THINK things and don't DO them. These may be called SLACKERS or drop-outs or the lost generation; but, the fact remains they live inside their own dream world and accomplish nothing but fantasy.

POWER IS DOING.

What do we DO?

What do we actually leave behind when we go?

What remains of us long after we are gone? It requires power to leave a legacy; a mark on the world; a niche in somebody's life that makes it all a better world.

If you think everything and yet do nothing you have no POWER.

Out of every 100 people who brag, boast, extol themselves and launch big ideas into our ears, ask yourself how many out of this 100 ACTUALLY PRODUCE something tangible with their life?

It takes power to create any real thing.

I ask myself each day: WHAT REAL THING did I create?

Now I am feeling a bit ambiguous regarding your definition of "power" but it seems that you are equating "power" and "doing," or concrete manifestations. Another may focus on "influence" as a form of power - but to me that's the equivalent of mental pick-pocketing.

To me power can be static or dynamic. Just because nothing is plugged into a socket does not mean there is not electrical power there.

Also power does not care how it is used. If I use it little phyisical power to push a small rock over a cliff that starts a avalache, it is my power that caused it? Or did I simply trigger a huge static release?

We do not create power nor do we own it. It is on tap for those aware of how it works. And once we use it, it is gone into another form.

I manifest things every day. The process gives me joy and a feeling of satisfaction. Too bad that i gotta flush it all. Oh well, tomorrow is another day, and i have faith in my powers of manifestation.
