I always thought that he took some green alligators and long-necked geese,
Some humpty-backed camels, and some chimpanzees,
Some cats and rats and elephants.
    But no Unicorns.

Too bad Noah didn't bother to take the original habitats with him as well. We all know today from ecology how species easily go extinct when their habitat vanishes. The Flood pretty much would've destroyed all habitats on earth. Are the number of species on earth before the modern era a tiny fraction of the number Noah would've had to have taken into the ark? Or were there amazingly low extinction rates after the Flood?

    hooberus...what say you?

After 40 days, upon exiting the ark, what would they eat that would not obliterate another species?

    Terry

I had the same question Terry.....so I went to the Christian apologetic route to see what they had to say. They say, there were floating mounds or pads of earth with vegetation on them in large areas that floated through the waters, and this is what fed all the surviving animals when the ark rested and they came out.

Terry.....a big silly! Don't you know there were no such thing as carnivoirs until AFTER the flood? All the animals ate vegetation before the flood. It was like a jekel and hyde thing. Right after the flood......prolly within a year.......Jehovah suddenly made many animals prey on one another. He did this cuz.......uh........uh.....ummmm........lets see......ummm, ...well, I forgot, but I used to know.

    Gumby,

Well, if there were no carnivores until after the flood, then what about the dinosaurs BEFORE the flood? Everybody knows Tyrannosaurus Rex was a meat eater, and they were before the flood. Right?

So, first we got some herbivores and carnivores, then we got Adam and Eve, where all the animals are herbivores, until the flood, and then after the flood, a bunch of herbivores turn into carnivores. Is that how it went?
