I hope they catch him. It so angers me the way the congregations do not protect the 'flock', ESPECIALLY the children. And yet, you know if someone did know and tried to warn other parents to take care, they would have been disciplined. This is all so wrong.

You learn to dismiss your "6th sense" as a witness as a bunch of voodoo and superstition; i WISH i had listened to my 6th sense as it would have prevented me from a lot of heartache!!!!

Hi maple newbie, welcome- I know what you mean. You learn not to read people for they way they come off. You just dismiss it and think you are being negative in thinking that so-and-so seems abusive. But how could that be in "Jehovah's house"?!!! It's so crazy.

By the way- I know that kind of smirk all too well. It's as if they have it plastered on their face just to seem normal. I think it's because they are planning their strategies at all times. Like a game or war tactics. They get really proud of themselves for being sneaky enough to get away with it. Like a conquerer. They don't even see how weak they really are. And every so often they get hit with guilt and try to make up for it by being everyone's friend and a help to others. But then the feeling passes and they're right back setting out tactics for their next prey.

It's a shame that the watchtower society does not view these people as a threat to our future generations. They view it more like a man's weakness, like looking at pornography to the point of addiction or masturbating too much is a weakness. They say that if they know of anything happening that they report it to the police. Since when! Out of all the ex-jw's in the world that have been a victim of child abuse, when have you ever heard of the elders calling the police? I never have. If a few here and there did get reported, that is not enough! Every case needs to be reported! These are people lives and futures.

Their own literature states, 'If you know of someone committing a sin, then you are required to report the matter, or you are just as guilty as the person who sinned'. In that case, the WTS are child abusers and one day the 'wrath of god' (in whatever form that will be) will come down on them and show no mercy. Wouldn't it be great if this case was the beginning of the end for them?!

You are right, there is the potential, if it is made clear (after his capture) he was a Witness during the molestations, and the implications resulting from that.

It seems this violent molester would be sharing accountability, a situation not to be dismissed if the facts are brought out.

The media would have to play a huge part in this (not just the internet).

I think the WT gestapo will destroy any evidence and any parties involved or their credibility before it gets too dangerously close to their comfort zone.

I live in San Diego County. Back in the early 1990's Rick and his wife were assigned to my family to bring us back to the "truth". We used to be regular pioneers but became dislusioned about the Witnesses. He and his wife studied with us and tried to encourage us. I have to say that I did like his wife but I thought she was very unhappy. I am sure she felt something was wrong but could not put her finger on what it was. I didn't trust him at all, but I thought it was because I didn't trust any witnesses. I especially feel for his children, they are very sweet and smart kids. I heard they have since divorced. I wish her well and hope that she finds true happiness. I hope they find him soon and bring him to justice. My son has since grown up and moved away and I can only hope that he was not affected by this creep.

Mom, are you afraid that he may have hurt your kids? That is what I am 'feeling' from your message. Seek professional help. If you don't know where to start, call a rape line. They will have a list of contacts.

Jeablue, please talk to your son. If he was molested, chances are that he is keeping it inside, and will never bring it up. If he was, he will need some help with this.

My heart goes out to all of you who were affected by this man. We will be here for you.

Let's all focus our energy on his being caught before he steals more children's souls.
