I no longer feel it necessary to convert anyone to my worldview.
I do not give advice; will give an opinion if asked.
To the best of my abilities and resources help those around me, as, if and when that help is needed, at the same time recognizing that there are those who are what they are, nothing more, nothing less.
Last, but not least understanding that the person I am past, present, future was/is what I chose to be.
Terry: Do you have a simple Philosophy or system of understanding your place in the universe?
I don't think systems are very useful, they seem incredibly obstructive to new concepts.
When humans interpret the universe we generally attempt to do so through our senses, and formulate our systems of understanding through that filter by building assumptions on abstractions that were based on arbitrarily obtained foundations. In my opinion, we routinely do this despite absolute knowledge that our senses are terribly subjective and often create a false impression for us. Although I am also guilty of this, and all humans are to some extent, I recognize that my systems limit my comprehension and awareness.

There are three worlds. The relative world ( intellect is strong , a mountain is a mountain) , the absolute world ( intellect ceases, a mountain is not a mountain ), the real world ( a mountain is a mountain, enlightment). The relative world uses the language I am using here. The real world uses the language of ZEN. The absolute wolrd has all language and no language because it is the world where opposites are merged into one because the entire spectrum ,from 0 to infinity ,exists together. Without the absolute world we could have no relative world . The perception of both as one world is what enlightenment is. The feeling is that of enormous ...space.

LT - I have to do some work for a philosophy module I'm taking. Do you have any recommended texts for beginners? I need to get my head round a lot of stuff and one is struggling at the mo.
