Only when it comes to people I have known for a while; however I do have to have people skills (reluctantly) since I am a department manager and have to deal with my staff and others at the office.

I think I am a people person. I love being with people in many circumstances. I also have the nak of being able to make people open up to me and telling me there problems and feeling comfortable about too..of course.
That was a problem that I had my entire life as a JW...I'm not a people person.
Not that I'm a curmudgeon or an introvert, it's just that I like my privacy and my quiet and I like for people to not stick their nose in my business so in return I rarely get involved in other people's business or make big deals about things that don't concern me.
That's why it always bothered me when COs and elders kept saying that JWs "....are 'people' people. We love people. That's we go to their doors. That's why we preach. We want them to live in a paradise. We're concerned about them...." Not me. I didn't want to bother them. If they wanted to believe what they wanted, fine, they have that right. I felt like I was imposing my beliefs and thoughts on them. But due to the indoctrination of the WTS I felt guilty for feeling that way. Now I don't feel bad about not being an outgoing people person anymore. I can be the quiet one and not feel guilty for missing out on an oppurtunity to preach to someone.
I can be the life of the party. But I don't always enjoy being "on".
Yes! 7 sisters, two brothers, 38 yrs married, two children, a large group of relatives, 30 odd years in a large organization, out and about for those thirty years with people; people, people, work in the health care industry, many people. My favorite expression was and is, always, "Tell me, how can I be of help to you today. What can I do for you? If I couldn't do it, I would try to see how it could be done.

I'm not a people person at all. Never have been. I could very well be happy on an island all by myself. I love being alone. I recently took 5 days off from work. In those 5 days I didn't answer the phone, didn't pick up the mail and didn't go anywhere. I had a very good time, just me and the cat.
no. sometimes i wish i were. but i'm not.
Yeap I love being around people. I love being at parties, talking to neighbors, having my family come visit or talking on the phone.
The only people that I don't like to be around are 'negative people'. When I am around people who start talking negative or have nothing nice to say about others....I find excuses to leave! (Negative people drain me emotionally)
