Yes. The magazines are now available on audio MP3 cd's.

I didn't know that either. My word, it was bad enough having the mags laying around the house gathering dust, but I can't imagine listening to someone read The Watchtower.

Normally, I would think you can only get them through the KH like the paper mags. Someone must be trying to supplement their income.

OK, this is PATHETIC.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all in favour of accessibility for the visually impaired (even if he material, in this case, is tripe and garbage).

The problem I have is this: There is absolutely NO REASON for WT MP3s to be distributed on CD. The files could be available for download, via a secure process, if necessary, so that only those that "qualify" can get them.

To paraphrase Bill Gates: why ship atoms when you can download bits?

Distributing audio on CDs perpetuates a publishing model wherein the mechanism of delivery (CDs) is more important than the content. Then again, follow the money: perhaps people are more likely to contribute when they hold a CD in there hands.

Once again, WTS clearly demonstrates by their actions that they are a (old fashioned) PUBLISHING COMPANY, first and foremost. The religion, the "message", the "brotherhood": these are just accoutrements.

You make some good points Quotes. However, to download the mags' as mp3's would require that the brothers have an Internet Connection!!!
