I'm confused, though...:

I've been to lots of congregations as my dad was in the army until about a year ago. I've also lived in Ottawa and North Bay in Ontario and spent a few years in Kamloops, BC.
I grew up as a witness but when my family moved to Calgary my dad stopped attending meetings so I saw it as a way out.

Are you saying that your dad was a witness at the same time he was in the military?? How is that possible?
