I've only recently come to discover in myself that I don't listen! I only acknowledge information spoken to me when I have asked a question. Should somebody come up to me and instruct me about anything and I'm not in a "want-to-know" mode of thought, it just goes away as though no words had been spoken.
How awful and embarassing!
