I get ticked and usually keep my distance from those kind of people.
If it's someone I know really well and I know they are just teasing then it's ok because I'll tease right back. But if it crosses the line, I don't like that.

It depends. The other day, a guy at work kept being either snotty or a smart ass to me for the WHOLE day. Then in front of people he was nice...........asked me to do him a favor even, "hey girlie" ......... I just had it. I told him to stop being nice when he wanted something and that I was SICK of his snotty attitude and he had better knock it off.

A few years ago I would be defending myself all over the boards..(.I was in some knock down drag outs..)
If someone said something hurtful to me in my home or work life I would defend myself to the limits.Since Hubby passed away and I don't constantly hear how the world is going to end and how I am going to die because god doesn't love me..and so on..you know the picture..
I feel diferently. I don't feel like I have to "Defend myself". If someone is downright rude..I might say ouch..and if they don't explain why they were rude or hurtful..I would just walk away so to speak.
It's funny how our environment can affect us.

It depends. If it's vodka, I'll mix it with Sunny-D. Rum goes with coke and a bit of lime. JD goes down the hatch straight as well as any whiskey. Sambuca get ignited. Gin goes with Tonic ... am I missing anything?
