    seethesky,

r u a lawyer or barrister? - if not, can anyone where u live practice law without a license? where i live it's a crime - seriously

No, I am not a lawyer. Not sure what that has to do with anything under discussion here. What are you implying?

I think your head is in the clouds. Practicing law is different from discussing law. And in many free countries, the right to self-representation makes the technically accurate answer to your text-messaging question a resounding YES! Anyone where I live can practice law as long as it is for themselves. HS ended with "Check the law." He directed the person to the authoritative source for support of his view.

Isn't self law practice a form of abuse? I'm sure that terry would dissapprove.

Just because somebody has a PhD does not make him God -but we should still be respectful of them

u just came across as so authoritative in your post yet - as your response indicates - you hold no license to offer legal advice to a specific situation yet you did (read your post)

i read what you wrote and thought he is either a lawyer or a person like a doctor who thinks that because he is a doctor he can fix cars - before i dismiss his opinion i should check to make sure he's not a lawyer

HS did not simply discuss law - he offered an opinion on a specific situation - that's the practice of law - it's like a lay person offering a medical opinion about a specific medical situation -

also, self representation is allowed because it harms no one except the person representing himself, the proverbial "fool for a client"

finally, "check the law" does not constitute an "authoritative source"

    good grief

As the argument seem to arise over whether blood tranfusions where forbidden in 1944 or 1945.

On what basis do you say it was 1944 from what I have read you have offered no evidence from WT sources that they were.

Why get upset over HS comment on the legal issues. You don't have to be a lawyer to understand some basics of law, especially these days were you can be sued for some ridiculous things. In my job in the security industry I have to know the law, but I'm not a lawyer. Does that disqualify me from doing my job?

In fact I was going to post exactly the same points she made about its more likely the WT fear of litigation, that probably made them cut back on actually mentioning people. Probably just as well I didn't otherwise you would have accused me of the same thing.

ummm, who said i was upset? - does a question equal an emotional state? - also, to test your legal acumen, i ask the following: what does "consideration" mean? - that's a basic concept - you should, given the requirements of your job, hit this out of the park

You are not very bright are you?

I am not even going to bother pointing out your complete failure to understand even basic logic, as it would be a waste of my time. You are just another internet buffoon, and I suspect you always will be.

    Go away.
