Hi Everyone,
I'm really touched by the heathfelt welcome from all of you. Thank you very much, I really appreciate being here.
I have been reading this forum since at least two years, still when I was a Witness. I have a loving wife, a nice son of 7 years and I'm happy :-).
As I wrote, I served as an elder for ten years and I was really dedicated and liked , because it was possible to help the congregation. I served as secretary, school overseer, ministry overseer and WT overseer, I always liked talks where it was possible to scrutinize the Bible.
Then after being an elder for 5 years I was offered to join the HLC, where I served as secretary. I enjoyed it, because we could offer a lot of help to those in need. I have translated a lot of medical articles into Hungarian and we have regularly distributed them among the doctors like circular letters. We had a very good relationship based on mutual respect with the medical staff. There were no brothers or sisters lost due to the rejection of blood transfusions during those 5 years.
2002 my frined, a yound brother called me and asked: "Did you know that the WTBS has joined the UN and was associated with it for 10 years?" I replied the usual stuff like this must be something without any sound foundation etc. but as I saw he was struggling because of the issue I told him I would help. My wife and myself have taught him and his wife before and I felt I was responsible for them. I told him not to believe the stuff he has found on the web, I suggested him that I would contact the UN directly by e-mail and ask them about the association with the WTBS.
After two days the UN confirmed it was true....I got floored and then the avalanche causing my disfellowshipping started....
