I have seen/heard the same things as posted so far.

I have also seen baby showers being major social events and people falling over each other to get a chance to hold the new baby at its 1st meeting.

I'm sorry to hear you experienced this in the congregation you attended. It must've been filled with old, bitter people.

The Hispanic culture is very children-oriented. Therefore, they're extremelly nice to expecting women, even to the ones that aren't baptized yet or I've even seen them doting over pregnant-out-of-wedlock women that are new to the cong. They just love babies and pregnancy!

They go all out for baby showers. It's such a happy time, and they sure celebrate it big time!

That to me is as it should be dy. I am the one falling all over babies all the time ... I smile everytime I see one ... sometimes they smile back . I can't wait to be a grandmother (I mean I CAN, but it will be nice ... some day ten-plus years from now )

Not really; in the Watchtower World, fathers appear to be seen as little more than sperm donors.

My wife heard a few nice things from some envious "Sisters", and some not-so-nice things from the Pio-types. One Elder said we "know [we] were NOT to get pregnant!!!!!!" Someone else asked: "How did THAT happen?!?!" Answer: "Must have been something in the semen...."

I didn't have any kids while I was in, but I remember everyone fawning over the new babies. I did it too, lol. I've always liked little kids. I don't remember anyone having a huge family though, two kids usually, three at the most.

When I was pregnant with my third son, a woman in my mom's congregation was due the same time as me. She was 19, and had been married about a year...her family is basically 50% of that congregation. There was a huge baby shower, and my mom asked me for advice on what to get her (for a baby girl, of which I have none lol). I helped her pick out something really nice.... My mom NEVER got me a gift for my son! I was so pissed.

Any good Christian who loves Jehovah's "simpleton-appointed organization" whould never have a baby in this world. You are supposed to wait until the paradise (I mean, just look at any of the pictures in the publications. FYI-Judging by the ages of the happy children, it will take 8-10 years to clean up the earth). If you love righteousness you wouldn't have a baby. It is only selfish people who would rather waste their time and $$ on children, rather than devoting their time and resources in devotion to the Golden Calf in NY. In fact, if they really loved Jehovah (read "WTS") they wouldn't get married in this system.

BennyK- if you don't stop making babies I will have no choice but to report your "Apostate" self to the loving brothers, so that they can give spiritual direction to your seed.

The WTS is so anti-women it isn't funny - why didn't I realise it sooner?!

Congrats to all those with kids - they are the darndest things! My sister-in-law is having a baby today, can't wait to see him!
