It is very long but I found it interesting.

as of July 2002 they were still stockholders..at one point they said 44 % and another they said 50%In April 2002 the company had entered into a contract with the Navy for a Module for a "New Smart Warfighter unmanned aerial vehicle....(RC Bomb?)

    Please read this and comment..Especially page. 26 # 3 and page 27 # 3..

Snoozy..Who wonders when the WTBTS sold their stock? The link is long..I hope it works or I will be editing forever..

    Hi Golden Girl,

Yes, the Society knew of the stock, simply because it is hard to ignore it when a person gives them over 5 million shares. However, they likely did not study it well once they realized it was not paying dividends.

The Society has an entire department that handles their investments, real estate, bank accounts, and stock holdings. They get a lot of estates willed to them, and these often contain provisions which require the Society to hold the stock for the income value.

The Society can always choose to refuse the gift, especially if it is against their beliefs to hold such stocks. Likely, the Society rationalized that Rand Cam had other, non-military product lines, and that they are not responsible for every product made.

However, the bad press, and the fact that the Society used to condemn holding stock investments, made them decide to sell the stock in Rand Cam. As I recall from my original post, they held ownership for several years.

Is there any way to find out when they sold it?

I saw the Co wasn't doing well..But they sure had Naval contracts in 7/2002 and the WTBTS was still with them then!

    Thanks for the reply!

    Hi Snoozy (GG),

I believe that they sold it in 2003 or 2004. I read the SEC filing in one of those two years, and the Society is no longer reported as an owner. I would have to check to make sure.

If that's the case..they had it long after XJW's found out about the Rand co. You would think they would have known about a Company they held stock in.Gift or not..they still had to cound the value of the stock on their taxes!. They are pretty sharp when it comes to money..and it the Navy contract was signed mid 2002..They should have known about that too.

I can't believe they wouldn't do a complete examination of the Company first! I still say they knew all about it. Especially when the XJW sites were posting all about it.years before! I'm sure they received letters form the XJW's questioning their involvement just like the NGO thing.

Me thinks they are sly like a fox!

Would be nice to know how long they stayed with a Company that was supposed to be losing money..I guess so they could claim a loss?

Snoozy...Thanks for the reply. I don't know if there is a way to find out exactly when they (Supposedly) sold it.If they did!
