Consolidated Guerilla Apostasy Tactics for 2005 District Conventions

We've had several very interesting threads going on about how those of us who are still on the inside can work to open the eyes of the Witnesses at the District Conventions this summer. Since people have been making scattered suggestions on scattered threads, I thought we should start a consolidated thread here that lays all the options out on the table for those that want to be a part of it.

Here are the ideas that have stood out in my mind so far (please add any that I have missed):

    • Fake checks in the donation boxes
If a large enough contingent of us do this all across the nation (or even world!), word will definitely filter up to the top. Causing a little cultish paranoia might cause a few to think.
More details and printable checks at: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/92047/1.ashx and http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/92132/1.ashx
    • Notes with web site addresses left in seating areas
Think smallish scraps of paper with links to http://quotes.watchtower.ca, http://www.silentlambs.com, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com, etc. When in comes time to clean up, R&F Witnesses will be picking up a lot of these. For maximum effect, try writing an address on a convention program or two (or three!).
    • Post-It notes in bathroom stalls
For the gutsy, try leaving a message on a sticky note on the inside of a bathroom stall! Beware that the next occupant doesn't bolt out and try to nail you! :-)
    • Notes left in lost-and-found items
This will take some nerve. While perusing the lost-and-found Bibles, songbooks, etc, you nonchalantly slip in a note with info about the UN fiasco, the chid abuse epidemic, or something along those lines.

    But what will it accomplish?
When word gets out that so-called apostates are within the ranks of the faithful, ordinary JW paranoia will likely reach new highs. This will do two things: a) It will give thinking people reason for pause, and b) It may bring pressure on the higher-ups, who will be forced to recognize growing unrest within the ranks. Plus, it empowers the poor souls who have been enlightened but have to go for the sake of family to at least have a voice.

But what if JWs are reading this site right now?
Ah, therein lies the beauty of a cult prohibition on opposing information! So what if a JW reads this? Who are they going to tell about it? :-) "You guys, you'll never guess what I read on this aposta -- I mean, um, I heard that -- er...Hey, where are you guys staying for the convention?"

Let's keep this thread near the top of the stack as we move into convention season and let the experiences roll! :-)

I couldn't go to an assembly if I wanted to, last time I checked the closest one was 350 km away in Kelowna (it might be close in Chilliwack now; 100km).

They can't even afford to hold an assembly in Vancouver anymore... it just shows the 'growing' influence of the WT, kind of like the Pope calling the age of the sex-abuses a 'springtime.'

I love the sticky note in the bathroom stall. Hell, how will the person after me know it was me who left it there? It could have been anyone!

Of course I don't go to conventions anymore!

I'll be going this coming week-end.I've thought about leaving notes and the post-it notes sounds good.I was thinking of writing www.freeminds.org or www.jehovahs-witness.com on them,I'm sure that somebody somewhere will be tempted enough to look it up.

How about being really ballsy and talking to the apostate out front! If they see you doing it they may think hey I could do that too! Of course this would have to be your LAST ASSEMBLY! HA
