Things that go scurry scurry scurry, scratch scratch scratch in the night

OK, so I keep hearing these scurrying sounds in my room. Sometimes it sounds like it's in my walls. At other times, as if it were really in my room. And sometimes things just move on their own (like an allergy/nose bottle that you hear move, and when you turn your head you see it spin).

We've had mice in our house in the past, so my dad put a mouse trap in, but nothing.

So tonight, I heart scurry/scratch noises and I look to the area in my room where there's a big whole in my floor (possibly from a removed radiator), and I thought I saw something move, but it was fast and the thing look light brown.

I took action. With some clear plastic packaging (from a cookie package) and a lot of tape, I closed up the hole. Since the plastic thing I put on balloned up, I'm thinking that this hole might lead outside.

So, I figure this must be a mouse.

The only problem is that there is NO droppings, and I don't know where the mouse would go in my room (possibly the TV cabinet; i'll go look there and update).

Strange, eh? The scratching noises were really bothering me, and my dad though I was going crazy because no mouse was caught in the trap.

We had similar noises in the walls in our house and things we'd catch out of the corner of our eye running across the carpet a couple of years ago. When we got up one morning we'd find plants overturned, dollies made headless, but no droppings.

However mice and rats tend to have areas for their droppings - so it could be someone you haven't looked yet. Get am expert in - we did and found we had rats which had gotten in through an air vent at the base of the house. from there they had chewed their way through the walls and no place in the house was not touched. They even chewed our playstation controller!

The traps we put out were mouse traps and were too puny for the rats which was why they could pinch cheese and chocolate and not get caught.

Thankfully we are rodent free now!

My apartment has pigeons in the attic. Sometimes I hear them "cooing" and scratching around up there. Every spring I can hear the babies making little "peeping" noises

I KNEW IT!!!!! I just saw the little bugger, so I'm not crazy after all. I think he's living in one of the boxes in m room, for he went from that areas, to behind my bookcases, to under my door, and from there he went into my sister's room (which is covered with clothes, so lots of places for it to hide).

I put a trap outside her door. Hopefully, it'll get it.

Whew, now I definitely cant sleep and it's 4:48 am, and the sun's coming out. Man...

PS. Already got a dog, so a cat's out of the question.

When I go hunting, we stay in an OLD house (built in the 1800s). It is a very crappy place and not where you want to be...

But when the lights go out, the mice will run OVER you while you sleep. Sometimes you will wake up and feel them tugging on the hair on your head or your nose hair.

    I hate mice.
