Without a doubt there are some addicts on this site but I wonder if they are aware that they are addicted.
I was aware in 2002 that I was spending more time here than I should so, I stopped using the site and did not even look in for two years until earlier this year when I got a faster computer and Broadband which I wanted to try out.
I am aware that it is possible to develop a obsessive addiction to this site and with this in mind I make an effort to keep the whole thing in perspective and have days when I don’t drink….er…I mean look in on the site. Awarness is as always the solution to avoiding many of life's pitfalls.
I also make a point of reading comments without feeling I have to reply. This helps me be aware of my motive for posting. Recently I have been reviewing my motive and asking myself for some honest answers.
Can I sit down now - it is someone else’s turn to confess!

Addicted ? No. But I sure have found it helpful to find others in the same 'boat' I am in - kinda a support group I guess, online. I do visit most every day - although I have been finding myself here less and less with summer here now.
I like the fact that we apostates seem to be ahead of the witnesses on what is going on in their organization - I find that satisfying!
People need moral support thru lifes difficulties - and I cannot imagine much that would be more difficult than leaving a high-control cultish group after a lifetime of indoctrination. This website is a Godsend - I mean that literally.

If by addicted you mean I "need" to come here and can't stop myself the answer is no.
However, if by addicted you mean that I need to come her because I enjoy it so much and don't want to stop myself; and that I look forward my visits here then yes I'm addicted.
Can I get anything else done? Don't know, I never did before so I have no benchmark
