Tk - ive managed to read it with a bit of squinting!

Thats a great letter. The problem with it is that it would only appeal to a human being with a mind to think and consider and a heart to be moved to some sort of emotion - so I guess that rules out your intended target audience.

I am truly sorry about what happened to you, and for all the fallout you suffered. Ive watched too many films, but I kept wanting to read that you and the girl got together in the end. Im sorry you havent reached a happy ending yet.

All my warmest hugs go out to you

Went to a bigger screen and got a chance to read your letter. Wow…and I can sympathize. I was before a JC in the late 80’s. I wasn’t baptized yet, but it was before the “un-baptized publisher” arraignment. Anyways, I told them what I did was wrong and I wanted help. I, at the time, was very sincere. I fully believed in the “truth.” But one of the Elders on the committee either didn’t like me or my family. My father was DF’d at the time, so we were outsiders anyways. And he wouldn’t listen to anything I said. I sat in the room a sniffling crybaby, feeling all guilty. Lot of good it did, at the next meeting I was announced as “bad association.” I bet you remember, at the time, that was the same as being DF’d. Then came the doctrine change in 89’ and all of a sudden I was ok to talk too. So I know what you mean, being sincere in front of a JC. I believe many of the Elders involved, enter the room prejudiced in some way or another.

Hi Ian, I too, read the "fine print". Forgot my glasses at work, and now my eyes are sore, but my heart goes out to you also. I feel awful that you were treated in such a horrible, non-christian manner...it seems like it was all decided before you got to state your case....that's just wrong. Sounds like they were going to make an example of you.....I'm so sorry...hopefully it will reach the eyes and ears of someone "higher up" who "gives a damn", and the wrongs will be made right for you...unfortunately, the damage has been done.....they can't give back, your life as you knew it.....

    ((((((((((((hugs, Ian)))))))))))) Delilah
