I don't want to jump the gun on you, Runningman, since you say that you will do the flood in a later chapter, but since the ark and all the animals were already spoken of...I wonder what the numbers actually work out to? Its something I never actually bothered with before, but there are THOUSANDS of animal species, even leaving out the aquatics that wouldn't need saving from a flood. I'm willing to bet that the dimensions of the ark as described in the bible wouldn't hold 1/10th of the numbers of animals required to actually keep two (or 7 as the case may be) of everything. Not to mention the tonnage of food needed to preserve them all for an extended time while waiting for the waters to recede...

Incidentally, I had already thought of using the story of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel as a way to feel out what JWs believed and try to refute them. I told my wife to ask them the following questions:
1) Do JWs accept the creation story as written in the bible, that Adam and Eve were the ONLY created humans?
2) Is it morally or religiously acceptable to be in an incestuous relationship?
3) If the answers to 1) = yes and 2) = no...then where did Cain's wife come from?
She told me she had been given the answers to my questions, and that they were:
1) Yes
2) Not anymore- Jehovah created Adam and Eve perfect, so incest was ok back then for a few generations after Adam and Eve, but after that it was a sin. (Guess they had "new light" back then too?)
3) Cain's wife was named Sara(h? She was unsure of the spelling, and had obviously been coached in the answers), and had indeed been his own sister. I have no idea where they came up with that one, though I am an atheist now at one point in time I was a good little bible student in a harsh fundamentalist group not unlike the JWs, and I NEVER heard a name put to Cain's wife. *shrugs*

So, the question arises, if they didn’t eat meat, what was Abel doing with all those sheep? Either he was a huge slacker (imagine 25% of the planetary labour force piddling around with their pets when they should be working), or he had some other purpose for them. Don’t forget that there were no women, other than their mother. I will say no more.
