One thing that Orangefatcat loves is to Party, the last apostofest I went to in toronto was in May of 2002. I can't be wrong there must be someone who could host an apostofest. Truly I would have one in my home, however I live in a postage stamp apartment. However in the next several months we should be hearing about our move to a larger apartment , but at this point I am not holding my breathe.

I as many of you all know I am not in the best of health so if someone did host one I know I would be greatful.

It seems to me that all the american apostates are always having get togethers are we canadians going to stand for this. I hope not. Party time Please...

    Love to all

I loved Toronto when I was there and got to meet a load of great apostates! Why not try to arrange to meet up in a restaurant instead of in someones home? That would make it a lot more central and so easier for people to get to.

I can't be there be can I recommend the Keg - the new one. It was excellent food, atmosphere and even out waitress spent an hour at our table discussin politics!

(PS And if you see the little denim clad homeless lad Kevin who begs outside say hi from me and that I didn't mean to get so angry when he he said he put his trust in the bible! LOL!)

    crumpet,

you show that you live in England, so how is that you know about the new keg in our town and the lad named Kevin, if it is the same Kevin he is slightly mentally chanllenged. Has mild downs syndrome. Is this the same young fellow with rosy red cheeks.

Holy toledo crumpet you sure were disfellowshipped alot of times. I am so happy for you now that you married your scotsman now 17 years married and happy as a clam. congratulations your life sounded really bad. Its wonderful when we find our soul mate.

    Bee happy .

    Yeah....

Why should they have all the fun? (I'd like to be able to hit Las Vegas this fall, but not "doable" for me this year so something local would be great!)

I have the same space problems you do but there's gotta be a decent pub/restaurant we could find to serve as a site. I'd prefer a downtown site myself (someplace like the Crocodile Rock in the financial district, etc...). As long as they have air conditioning!

W, yes air condtioning is a must.

if there is anyone who may have a large enough home wtth a backyard we are looking for you. Id just if someone volunteered thier home and yard everyone could bring something and bring our bottle to share. Any takers???

Dying in the Toronto area or GTA for a Apostofest.

I have a large backyard, a screened porch, and a large place (if it rains). I live 15 miles from downtown (North York) and I could host an afternoon/evening Apostatefest. If there were at least 10 people (that's what Abraham said) it would work. I won't be providing limo service to and from the airport, but I do have many floors to accomodate those who partake and need a nap. So PM me if interested, and I will start a thread with specifics. Faders, apostates, current JWs, and confused elders, COs, and Bethelites are invited - no cameras or microphones allowed.

Hey Orange Fatcat! That does sound like Kevin indeed. I was in Toronto for a couple of nights as part of a two week visit to Ontario in May. We went to the new Keg on the last night and as you can't smoke indoors and as the conversation with the waitress re politics was going a little over my head I spent a lot of my time, between courses, outside chatting to Kevin. He was really sweet even though he got some abuse from the less kindly patrons. Good to see I got to know the city pretty well in that respect - trust me to find my niche with the homeless and outcast ones though!

Have to quickly correct you though - whilst I am "enjoying" a relationship with a scotsman (although I hasten to add not the scotsman from this board!) we're not married, although we've been together for about 7 years. If it was 17 years then I would have been 13 and he'd have been 22! LOL!)

Thanks for your kind thoughts and i hope your apostafest goes ahead and maybe you can get some pictures for the board!

My dearest Crumpet, oh by the way I love your name and I love crumpets with strawberry jam or marmalade.

anyway isn't it a small world, I just can't believe of all the people in our town you spoke with was sweet Kevin and to beat all I know him as I have had several occasions to talk with him. He is friends of friends of mine. He love people. Your like me you look to make people with disablities and the down trodden to speak to and make them feel good. about themselves and it can be so rewarding can't it?

I find it so incrediable. Gee I wis h you lived here you sound like a super person and it would have been really cool to have you come to Lawrence;s Apostofest. at the end of July.

Maybe another time. I have always wanted to visit England I have a cousin once removed in Kent she though is quite elderly now. I have never met her but my aunt has visited her several times.

Well take care and if you PM I would like your address so that I could add you my Christmas Card List.

    Love Orangefatcat.
