David Icke is a nutcase and a disinfo artist. There is some truth to what he says but he is whacked for the most part. Springmeier is in a totally different category. Springmeier has been framed and is currently imprisoned by the powers-that-be for revealing too much information in his writings regarding powerful geneologies. He is a former JW by the way.

I don't know if Russel and family beloning to elete social groups such as the Knights of Templar and the Masons really means much. After all, many people from world leaders to lowly fisherman (like my grandfather) join the Masons for various reasons. World domination is a tad lofty for most of them though.
As for Charles Taze Russell's Watchtower/Occult ties, it's very common for a person who is severly disillusioned with his family's religion to "think outside the box". Be honest now. How many of us former JW's also dabbled in the occult? I know I did for a while.
The whole "new world order" pursuit is hardly unique to Jehovah's Witnesses. Many if not most mainstream Christian sects also emphasize the scripture that says (to paraphrase) "Every creature shall bow before the Lord".
As for the NGO thing, there are several other groups that serve as a NGO in the UN, such as the Proctor and Gamble and the Nike corporation. Much like the Jehovah's Witnesses these groups make massive profits overseas and want to protect and expand their interests overseas.
So what do they do with the money? I don't know. However it would be interesting to see if other left field churches have similar holdings. Anyone know what the LDS, UPC, Falun Gong, et al are worth? -

You are right about the fact that it's speculation. You are wrong about the fact that it has been disproven. There really is nothing to prove or disprove. As you can see by the title of the topic, it's not staking a claim to a fact. It's a question. That means it's open-ended.
BTW, aren't you the one that's famous on this board for asking questions?
In the future, a simple "no" would do in reponse to a topic like this instead of attempting to disprove a speculation (if that's even possible).
