May service report 86,515 pioneers
I know they'll pick up a couple thousand suckers in
Sept. but so far this year the trend is down, down

And so the upwards trend in the rest of the world does not matter, you mean, because God's Own Country is the sole area where things happening REALLY are important, while the rest of the world is just nothing to take notice of?
An old friend just faxed me some copies of recent KMs, and the continental US Service Reports are very interesting, seemingly showing that field service activity is slowing. I realize that many have these KMs, thus I may be plowing old ground, but for those like myself who are new here and don't see the KMs, here goes:
Month/Total/Baptized
...April2000/988,469/2466
.....May2000/928,498/2671
..August2000/986,810/1380
November2000/949,214/2520
December2000/933,531/1895
.January2001/940,318/1543
February2001/937,185/1216
...March2001/958,804/1452
...April2001/958,589/2119
.....May2001/939,078/2657
April/May 2000 averaged 958,484.
April/May 2001 averaged 948,834.
Taking the average number of baptisms from April 2000 thru March 2001 (which doesn't include high months like June and July), and multiplying by 12 yields at least 22715 baptized during that time. (Probably more) Yet, time reporters fell by almost 10,000.

you are right.....the US is the only country that matters
can i get a hell yeah!!
Old Hippie,
Well, it would seem that the God of the Jehovah's Witnesses seems to favor the USA and other Western nations. I mean what percent of the GB are natives of this country or other Western countries? Where is the headquarters, (not talking about a star, the Pliades or whatever, I mean here on Earth) in what country? Where at in that country, BROOKLYN, good grief. If the claims are correct then New York City is the epicenter of Jehovah's earthly kingdom, as it has the largest concentration of anointed in the world. Look at where Rutherford bought Moses his retirement home, San Diego, USA.
Sorry, that's just the way it is.
I tend to agree with Grunt -- Jehovah's Witnesses is essentially an American religion. Even in Europe, according to my British friend, it's regarded as an American import, a religious curiousity. As for all of the other "lands" where the WT and Awake are being distributed, being a Witness seems to either be a passing fad, an attempt to approximate Western culture, or outright exploitation.

Just thinking of all the telephone calls being made yesterday and today just to get those numbers in!
It'll be interesting to see if they lower the hours again. At some point, perhaps everyone will either be pionerring(one hour or more in the ministry) or inactive.
