And your point would be?
I also like Frank Sinatra, and he's not released anything recently, either
I agree with DB's comment about music being better if it grows on you. I got the JET album and it blew me away, listening to it now and i think its quite ordinary. Killers are a good band, and have a cracking album, but its starting to grate on me now i think. The band i reently discovered and have gotton into are The Smiths- The Queen is Dead Album.... absolutely stunning.
Another tip- Hard-Fi.... my wife says they will be huge.
Radiohead
Coldplay are a 'local' band to where I use to live, or at least Chris, the lead singer comes from Tivvy (I think). Not heard the new album, quite like current single, last album didn't make an impact on me, liked first album but it was a bit Radiohead-y. Muse are from the same part of the world (Teignmouth) but their singer's gonna blow-up; silly pratt's let it go to his head (uncannily like Jeff Buckley in voice and looks, although he's far more mobile on stage than Jeff was.
Oasis are an over-rated pub band. Having said that, I like pub bands.
Travis are fun. I interviewed them at University in my muso-journo incarnation. I think they were supporting the Logpigs at the time, they were really still a new band, Nice bunch of guys.
Radiohead are great but they disappeard up their own arses after OK Computer. Id love to see Muse live.
ah the longpigs
two brilliant albums...then disappeared
my point about travis is that they released a brilliant cd then not so much since
seen muse..they were gr8...not seen radiohead but got all their stuff which is gr8
SEEING U2 (for the 4th time) IN 7/8 HOURS
HELLO HELLO...I'LL BE IN A PLACE CALLED VERTIGO
I love Coldplay! Their "Rush" album is my favorite. I recently bought their "X&Y" album and don't like it as much, but I have only listened to it once. Sometimes you have to listen to an album a few times before it grows on you.
drwtsn32- another couple of listens and you'll love it! Longpigs were from Sheffield, near where i lived for a while...
Does anyone remember (c'mon Ian) Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine? Now theres a band!! They used to one of my favourites along with Wonderstuff, Pop Will Eat Itself, The Charlatans, Ride, The Family Cat and James.....
......... and Depeche Mode.. they have a new album in the pipeline too....
