Getting married when i did/to the person i did... the first time round.

When it come to stupid I can't just state one - there are so many....
[1] Getting baptised
[2] Getting baptised to be allowed to date a baptised sister [siad she couldn't date an unbaptised witness], who then wouldn't go out with me anyway, and was DF'd shortly after for having a worldly boyfriend.
[2] Breaking up with my new worldly girlfriend because my dad had just been made an elder [he did a guilt trip thing on me].
[3] Not getting busy with the many attractive women who wanted to corupt a nice innocent JW boy [many years ago].
[4] Not going to university

It's hard to pick just one. There's three biggies:
1) Marrying when I was 20 - No, I wasn't a dub; it was sheer stupidity on all my own.
2) Being intellectually lazy when JW's came to my door. Should have done some independant research on their history and their claims.
3) Thinking it was "holy spirit" that was directing me to move east to work in my parents' business. Holy crap, what an incredibly stupid move that was!

Not getting a college degree and wasting my time pioneering and going to bethel. Also, not realizing what a sham this "religion" was until fairly recently even when the "writing has been on the wall" so to speak for quite a while.

Oh candidly nuts - I soooo no that feeling! When does it ever stop!? (There's a remark like that in Marian Keyes book I read ages ago called Watermelon - a light funny read by an Irish woman.)
