Sorry but the JWs are not interested in the Gospel of Christ, namely going to "the way the truth and the life", the only way to the Father. They replace this with the gospel of 1914--how the Watchtower Society was chosen to represent God, becoming mankind's link to God and paradise. Christ is merely a pawn in this overall scheme.

People steal the jews' religion, apropriate their book, borrow their god, and then expect to teach them.

*applause* It's amazing how so many christians have no idea where there god or beliefs come from. They call Jews "christ killers" and a slew of many other derogatory names, geared specifically at their race, nappy headed, big nosed jews etc..... I wonder if they realize that JESUS WAS A JEW!

    Booker,

You're quoting from a Christian bible. Jews follow the Hebrew Bible.

    Hello,

Some people refuse to believe that a Jewish interpretation of scripture is existent with a Christ center, so I would like to quote the following writing from Jesus on the Web as a study of Luke 2:21. The following is a study from Jesus on the Web.

    Luke 2:21

21And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. (NIV)

We are told about giving a first-born male child to the lord on the eighth day in the following reference, "'Do not hold back offerings from your granaries or your vats. 'You must give me the firstborn of your sons. Do the same with your cattle and your sheep. Let them stay with their mothers for seven days, but give them to me on the eighth day.'" (Exodus 22:29-30 NIV) We are even told the following about Circumcision, "You are to undergo circumcision, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and you. For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner-those who are not your offspring. Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be an everlasting covenant." (Genesis 17:11-13 NIV) Overall, the point is that for seven days a child is to be with his mother, but on the eighth day the child is to be set-aside for the lord by a promise being made between the child's parents and the lord.

Notice that Jesus was the name for the child before the child was conceived; moreover, this refers to the predestination of individuals. Jesus was already determined to be who he was before he was conceived. The name Jesus can be taken to have the meaning of "god saves", so even before Jesus was born the destination of Jesus was already determined by the father to be the savior of mankind.

Now Jesus is said to have been crucified at the age of 32 by traditional teaching, and with the circumcision of Jesus happening at the age of eight at such a time the he was dedicated to his father the two numbers together can be of some significance. We are told about Jehoshaphat the following, "He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years." (2 Kings 8:17 NIV) Now if Jesus was crowned king by suffering and thorns at Jerusalem the city of the kingdom of David who Jehoshaphat was a son and ruler of, then at the age of 32 when Christ was crucified he would have become the true Jehoshaphat by sitting on the throne of David at the right hand of the father.

If Jehoshaphat was a foreshadowing of Christ in the scripture then we can see some qualities in Jehoshaphat that would be reviled in Christ. We are thus told the following about Jehoshaphat, "Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem, and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim and turned them back to the LORD, the God of their fathers. He appointed judges in the land, in each of the fortified cities of Judah." (2 Chronicles 19:4-5 NIV) Now then in Jehoshaphat we see that he turns the hearts of the people back to the father like Christ had done among those who had gone astray (Ephraim), and in Judah he elects judges just like Christ brought judgment upon the supposed dedicated Jews of Judah by his judgment and by preparing his disciples to one day Judge on twelve thrones.

Now Jehoshaphat would also be a foreshadowing of Christ who reinitiated the priesthood through Melchezadec. We are thus told the following about this foreshadowing, "In Jerusalem also, Jehoshaphat appointed some of the Levites, priests and heads of Israelite families to administer the law of the LORD and to settle disputes. And they lived in Jerusalem. He gave them these orders: "You must serve faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the LORD. (2 Chronicles 19:8-9 NIV) Overall, such is fulfilled in Christ because the true priesthood of Christ all live and will live in the New Jerusalem at such a place that they serve faithfully and wholeheartedly.

The rule of Jehoshaphat even depicts the great battle in the end of days between the lamb and the armies of gog and maygog. The following is thus said about the foreshadowing, "The Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites came to make war on Jehoshaphat. Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, 'A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Sea. It is already in Hazazon Tamar' (that is, En Gedi). .Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly. He said: 'Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.'" (2 Chronicles 20:1-15 NIV) Overall, a point can thus be made about the last Great War being not a war for anyone but god, and this war is foreshadowed in this battle well.

The foreshadowing of the battled of the end of this age is seen in the battle of Tekoa; moreover, this is especially noted by the book of Revelation referencing the singing of praises when the army of god faces the army of gog and maygog. The following is thus said about the foreshadowing, "Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, 'Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.' After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: 'Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.' As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated." (2 Chronicles 20:20-22 NIV) Overall, one can thus see how the last battle can be foreshadowed in this one battle.

The scripture is very clear about the fact that the last battle of mankind is foreseen in the battle of Jehoshaphat. The following is thus said about the issue, "In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land." (Joel 3:1-2 NIV) Overall, the point then is that Jehoshaphat is a foreshadowing of Christ, and the battle of Tekoa is a foreshadowing of the last battle of mankind that the scripture talks about.

    Hello,

Some people would still refuse to believe that Christ centered Judaism exists, so I would like to quote the following again from Jesus on the Web.

    Leviticus 14:1-8

    The Cleaning from Sin

The LORD said to Moses, "These are the regulations for the diseased person at the time of his ceremonial cleansing, when he is brought to the priest: (NIV)

We know that sin is un-cleanliness because evil spirits are in the Scriptures referred to as unclean spirits. We are told about sin relating to un-cleanliness by David when he states, "Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." (Psalm 51:7 NIV) Overall, we thus know that hyssop represents the cleansing from sin, and we also know that appeals to god are made for the cleansing of sin.

3 The priest is to go outside the camp and examine him. (NIV)

Notice that the priest is to go outside of the camp to see the person who is unclean. Jesus was crucified outside of the camp at Jerusalem; moreover, we are even told in Hebrews that he is our high priest. Overall, we can thus see already that this passage has a fulfillment in Christ.

Now we are told about the hyssop the following, "Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. Not one of you shall go out the door of his house until morning." (Exodus 12:22 NIV) Since we know that Jesus died for our sins as our sacrificial lamb we can thus see how by hyssop applying the blood of the lamb we are considered cleaned from our sins so that death would pass over. Overall, the point is that our high priest (Christ) inspects us outside the camp, and by his blood and the cleansing of the application by hyssop death may pass over us like in the Passover that Christ fulfills by offering his body and his blood as the Passover meal (last supper).

If the person has been healed of his infectious skin disease, 4 the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop be brought for the one to be cleansed. (NIV)

We are told about scarlet the following,"'Come now, let us reason together,' says the LORD. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." (Isaiah 1:18 NIV) Much reference thus can be made for the color of the yarn to represent sin by color, however yarn is like a vine just as Jesus is the vine. Now we know that by Jesus dying on the cross he took on all the sins of the world, and so the scarlet yarn might represent a piece of the vine that is with sin separated from all else to be grafted into the true vine (Christ the seed of Israel). Overall, we know that the true Children of Israel are thus not born by natural decent or a husband's will but are instead born of god by being adopted into the family of god or grafted into the tree or vine of Israel through Christ the true Adam who was the first born of his kind.

We are told in the following, "wine that gladdens the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread that sustains his heart. The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the pine trees." (Psalm 104:15-17 NIV) Now we know that wine represents the blood of Christ and that bread represents his body as the Passover meal (last supper), and we also know that oil represents the grace of god. We can thus see that the lord plants the trees and that we are like those cedars. Overall, we also know that because of the parable of the mustard seed referring to faith that we may grow to be large enough for the birds of heaven to rest in us and seek refuge.

Now we can see the meaning of the cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop for the cedar wood represents us who are part of the tree of Israel, the scarlet yarn represents a part of vine or tree about to be grafted in, and the hyssop represents the application of cleaning.

5 Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot. (NIV)

Now we know that during the Passover time a ceremony existed to let one prisoner free from among those who had been chosen to pay a penalty such as death. Such a ceremony was most likely modeled after this type of law, and we know that when people had been given the opportunity to choose between one of two prisoners to be put to death Jesus was chosen to be put to death instead of a guilty murder. Now we also know that we are like clay pots that are either filled with the holy spirit or filled with something else, and so with the pot of the water of life (that Jesus gives) being mixed with blood of the innocent bird (Christ) our sins are atoned for.

6 He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water. (NIV)

Now we can see that by this process of dipping the elements together in the blood the fulfillment of Christ thus becomes apparent for by this process Christ cleanses us of sin by reuniting us with the vine of Christ or grafting us back into the tree of Christ (Israel), and by filling us with the Holy Spirit as a vessel that contains water.

7 Seven times he shall sprinkle the one to be cleansed of the infectious disease and pronounce him clean. Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields. (NIV)

Now we know that god chooses to demonstrate himself seven times before showing his final decision like in the case of the destruction of Jericho. Now the live bird that was released represents us who like the murder who deserved death but that Christ died in the place of was set free to the open filed to tell his story of who died in his place (Christ). Overall, not only that but Christ also died as the bird who was killed, but when he returns he will be like many of us the bird that was set free because he will be shown to live as one who is set free from judgment

Now both in the example of the seven in Jericho and in the example of the seven in the sacrifice of the two birds we see that the finial judgment is held until all seven attempts of god are expressed. Now we know that a day to god is like a thousand years, and we know that the destruction of Jericho may represent the judgment of the entire earth. We can thus see that on the seventh day or the Sabbath god will rest from his work by judging the inhabitance of the earth, so that he can rest just like in the example of Jericho.

8 "The person to be cleansed must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair and bathe with water; then he will be ceremonially clean. After this he may come into the camp, but he must stay outside his tent for seven days. (NIV)

We are thus told the following about washing the robes, "Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city." (Revelation 22:14 NIV) The blood of the lamb washes the robes that are then washed, so that like this case a person may go into the camp or into the gate of the city. Overall, also about the hair is not this a symbol of humility or giving something away (like the former life) for if the hair is gone is that not a symbol of being striped naked and of a sacrifice made for a purpose.

Heck, Jehovah's Witnesses are not a Christ-centred organization. They are a "Faithful and Discreet Slave"-centred organization.

Booker, you have not done your homework.

The news that JW's would give a Jew is that their ancestors killed Christ and that they are slated for destruction unless they accept everything written in the Watchtower materials. Of course, they would say so politely. After at least six months' of visits.
