Think about the ramification of having delusional GB who are not required to have mental fitness. Because of being delusional they can run the organization right into the ground dispite the fact that they have a legal department to give them some guidence, which I'm sure they ignore from time to time.

I would think the older these guys get, the more insane they will become with no one to stop them. Faced with all the hard decissions, and the threat of being exposed, the very real possible threats on thier life right thier at HQ because of so many finding out they have been dupe by the GB but are forced to suffer captivity right thier at bethel.

Tension must be rising for these geriatric men, too much to handle for thier advanced age, nowhere to turn, faced with exposure. The constant repression of guilt over the the loss of life among the faithful, caused by their cowardly stance on the blood issue. Not knowing who they can trust, surrounded by those that flatter them not for what they are but merely because of who they are,,and all the while they are filled with an inner disgust of what they have become, namely a shallow selfcenter human being that makes policy not for the good of the flock but merely to keep the flock from finding out how dispicable the whole Governing Body really is.

Faced with all this pressure and the constant need to repress any thought that will cause them to see they are not what they claim to be, has to take its toll on thier mental health.

Will others at bethel be able to get them to start seeing a good shrink? Lets hope so too many lives are at stake, too many lives have already been damaged by these crazy old men on the Governing Body.

You stated, " The constant repression of guilt over the the loss of life among the faithful, caused by their cowardly stance on the blood issue.

I rather doubt they even care about those dying or dead. They believe all is God's will, and they are Jehovah's left and right arm. No guilt, no pain, no responsibility, "PUSH ONWARD GOOD SLAVE!"

    Lawrence,

I rather doubt they even care about those dying or dead. ; They believe all is God's will, and they are Jehovah's left and right arm. ; No guilt, no pain, no responsibility, "PUSH ONWARD GOOD SLAVE!"

You may be right, but I tend to think there is some serious repression that goes on inside each GB member when they vote on what action to take, which leads to the severe harm to many JWs and former JWs.

The amount of psychic energy needed to supress these feeling of horror that seek to surface in the conscious is very intense and requires dellusional thoughts to keep them surpressed. There must be this constant tug of war that goes on inside them, forcing them to become more and more unfeeling and oblivious.

This BTW is showing up more and more as they get harsher and harsher in the use of DFing and DAing. Thier mental illness must be getting more and more obvious to everyone close to them.

There must be some responcible ones at bethel that can get some of these guys committed before it is too late.

It is a real shame if those at bethel are stuck, with no alternative than to allow the insane to rule over them, thier must be some sort of checks and balances to prevent this.

Have not these men caused enough loss of life, to so many innocent people, that something should be done to stop thier madness partly due to dementia, old age, and mental illness??

What about the Doctors that work at bethel can they be used to commit some of these mad men??

I don't know if there are any psychiatrist at bethel, perhaps thier is one or two, can these be trusted or are they dellusional too?

Well if they think these men are really God's channel perhaps not. It would seem to me that any good psychiatrist would not be found working for free as a unpaid volunteer at bethel, with the beleif that these older men speak and make decisions for God, especially with the currant tract record for prediction and biblical interpretation manifested by this aging GB.

If only there were some way to get these men commited!!

Can you honestly imagine anyone from the rank and file pronouncing a member of the GB incompetent or worse yet a "worldly" doc advising them. This org is run from the top down, who are the rest of mankind to tell these delusional idiots what to do.

Perhaps those who have a measure of clout or power at bethel can use thier influence to topple the authoritarian influence of the GB through this means. There may be some real humanitarians, that can do this, I don't know.

The only thing I can do is put this out in cyber space and hope for the best. If nothing can be done then at the very least it exposes the helplessness of those confinded to bethel, to the lunatics who make up the Governing Body, and thier inability for recourse.

I think it's a little tougher than you think to have somebody commited . A person has to be deemed a threat to themselves or others , from what I've been reading they've been making alot of hard line dogma into a conscience matter . I guess that means they can no longer use threats of shunning and dfing to control .

Maybe a psychiatrist could convince some of these old guys to give up thier position, and retire. Or maybe some respected member of the bethel family could do so, under the guise of concern for them as an individual, while it is really more out of concern for the damaged these men are doing to the lives of so many innocent ones.

Anyway the fact that this board is being read by many at bethel, it is good that we talk about the mental health of the GB. I'm sure these idea being expressed here while not completely accurated are a step in the right direction, for consideration of those bethel readers.

My hope is that of planting viable seeds in the minds of the lurkers on this board, especially those that have regular dealling with the GB.

I think those at bethel have for the most part given up all thier worldly posessions . The WTBTS would do good to set up a retirement home for them since they are too old to do much else but as has been thier history don't lift a finger to help any of them outside of bethel brooklyn . At least in there they get a roof over their head and 3 square meals a day plus some donated clothing . It would be interesting to find out the diagnoses of their mental facilities as I think some are senile and they do seem paranoid delusional .
