I can see why they're doing this, though. There's a sis (or two or ten, but one in particular) that I know who really wanted (may still want to...I haven't talked to her for a while so I'm not sure) to find a husband. She attended other congregation meetings, traveled to many different states visiting sisters and scoping out their KH's for prospective mate material...even traveled to other countries. No luck...and not everybody can travel the way she did either. It's frustrating, especially for JW women.

Very true, Luna. If this had been around when I was a young dub, maybe I'd have married in the truth. Either that or, thank God this wasn't around when I was a young dub, or I would have married in the lie.
I remember sisters like the one you described, as a matter of fact there was one imparticular, everyone kept saying she was lookig for Jesus Christ himself. But, shish, was she ever the subject of jokes and teasing. Took her forever to find the perfect brother. As a matter of fact she only married just a couple of years ago, and she was at least in her early forties, and still a virgin so I'm told.
I actually feel so sorry for single JW women. My 40 year old cousin got married last year to a brother last year she met online. She lived here, he lives in Spain, and he is not exactly the best upstanding JW from what I hear either: 2 previous failed marriages, children all over the place and a pending paternity suit with an ex. Plus he is not in good health. JW women have so hard in so many ways its really not funny at all.
