It is strange that there are any Jewish dubs since they are so conservative and attached to their religion, the Jews.

One of the few things I knew about the JWs before my wife got interested in them was that they believe that only 144,000 people are destined for greatness, saved, whatever you wish to call it. I half jokingly asked her about it once, saying some words to the effect of 'JWs must be REALLY dedicated to go out and knock on peoples' doors to try to get new recruits, don't they worry they might knock themselves out of the 'saved' category and into the 'hell' category by getting a new member?' Her reply was that she was still learning, but as far as she knew, only the Jews were in the 144,000 anyway, the rest of them were in some second category of salvation. Besides, there is no hell. I guess I'm a bit of an arse when it comes to these kinds of things, because I think I then said something along the lines of 'Well at least they have SOMETHING right' (because I'm an atheist).

Anyway...being the cynical creature that I am, I couldn't help but wonder if maybe the Jews would have a tolerant older brother attitude toward JWs...as in 'at least SOMEBODY besides us knows we're the chosen ones'. I mean...most of the world is full of religions that all call each other wrong...must be kinda hard to deal with one that says 'oh yeah, those guys over there? they've got it right.'

Ok ok...........I don't want to seem pro JW but I have heard a lot about Yad L'Achim activists. They can be very violent in asserting their views.

Could the agency reporting this have biased information? Were the JW's maybe using self defense against a group who on record have used a lot of violent aggression against other Christian groups?

If this is true, then the JW's deserve what they get. But if it was self defense, congratulations to them for not turning the other cheek.

All too often on this and other forums, some are all too eager to jump into the anti JW action before all the facts are known. We all want to see the borg brought down, but let's use some common sense thinking, before coming to a conclusion that we think is true.

Maybe the Russian speaking JWs were photographing the anti miss. guys to identify them to the police as stalkers. Also, if you feel you're being stalked, might you act out in defense? JWs are human and they will react like any other human when feeling threatened.

It's a shame, but when you are totally snowed by the WTBTS religion, you will risk life and limb and take ludicrous risks to "save the eternal lives" of just about anyone. It's embarrassing to admit, but how many of us would have taken similar risks?

BTW, grenades have been wired to the doors of JW meeting places by people in these anti-JW Israeli groups. These Israeli groups are the extreme side of their community and not representative of the vast majority of Jews. These groups even resent and protest the more secular Jews in the neighborhoods.

While I don't agree with the policies of the WTS, I don't feel it justifies bombing their facilities, lining up outside and spitting and screaming at them. I can see that the JWs might have been frightened and were trying to document who was stalking them.

In the end the courts/law enforcement will sort it out.

I would hate it if the elders monitored my moves with the same zealous nature.
