If you don't believe in the 360 points mentioned in the "Bible topics for discussion," {at the back of the NWT} you aren't a JW? [If there is just one point, just one little, etty bitty point... goodness me you can't be a JW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!] Yeah, I don't think it's on the Watchtower program... just in the printed NWT only.

I counted them pretty quickly, so I am not sure if my number is 100% spot on... but round about 360 (44 topics exactly). [I am not good with numbers and things, especially when they are in fine print.] Could someone double check with me at the back of the NWT 360 little points you must believe in to be a JW? I'd really appreciate that thanks!

They certainly do have a BIG LOAD to carry on their shoulders with their endless rules of belief! Jesus only gave us 2: Love Jehovah your God and love your neighbor!
Wow! Would you rather have 2 commandments to obey? Or 360! Better do a 180 degree u-turn and get out of there!

It's gettin better through time though.....the Jews laws topped the dubs. I figure if I follow the two you mentioned and get only one of the two right......I'll have a better chance. I just gotta watch my neighbors hubby when I love her with all my heart.

It would be great if people getting interested in the jws were informed about the heavy burden they could soon find themselves carrying to supposedly earn eternal life, and even more significantly that the WTS will do nothing to help them. So many go through months of bible study with them, without realising what life in the jws is will really be like.

200 questions!!!! WOW when I was baptised there was only three...

The questions increase as the service hours decrease...

    Any correlation?

There are still only 2 questions asked just after the baptism talk. Have not changed since 1985 unless they changed this year.

    *** w85 6/1 p. 30 Subjecting Ourselves to Jehovah by Dedication ***

At the close of the convention baptism talk, the baptism candidates will be in position to answer with depth of understanding and heartfelt appreciation two simple questions that serve to confirm that they recognize the implications of following Christ’s example. The first question is:

    On

the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?

    The second is:

    Do

you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?

Having answered yes to these questions, candidates are in a right heart condition to undergo Christian baptism.

The funniest thing happened at my baptism (1976) - my mother, who was not a witness, started talking to me while the brother was asking the first question and I didn't hear it clearly - all I caught was the word "Satan" (it was in there back then) and not knowing what the question was - I yelled out "NO!" while everyone else yelled "YES!" - everyone around me looked, I blanched to my toes, quickly said "yes!" and prayed to disappear!

I was sooo embarrassed that I stayed behind and was the last sister to come out to be baptized!
