Those Williams sisters are very exciting to watch....now that I think on it, I haven't watched tennis in a very long time either. I used to always try to catch Wimbledon.

I've always wondered why some of the women grunt so much when they play tennis. I was watching a match the other day and a blond-haired woman (can't think of her name) was making high-pitched siren sounds every time she hit the ball. "Boooou!.....Boooou!"

It reminded me of a deaf person or someone with Tourette's.

Do you lift weights? One thing that you learn, is that grunting when you are trying to lift a large load, builds the power ... that's why tennis players grunt! Tis true ...

Edit,,, I think McEnroe started the whole thing at Wimbledon,,, ie, the first one to let the public hear his 'grunts' ... lol, of course it was him ,,,, he is nothing, if not himself ,, a real 'individual' .. go john .

That grunt, almost primeaval when going up against your enemy, or in this case, at least your opponent.
