The only thing I have against the book at least from what I have read from the website is that it doesn't mention whether or not he had trip on DMT. I think any really good researcher would have to have first hand knowlege of the actual experience to better understand what his test subject are experiencing.

I have taken several DMT trips both through the longer lasting Ayahuasca (MAOI + DMT combination) and the much more intense tripping from the smoked free based form. It is way more intense that LSD, not very comfortable but very enlightening.

Acid can really f*ck your mind if you get a bad batch. Some people confuse transcendence for an overabundance of endorphines.

    Class,

What you consider a bad trip is not due to a bad batch. It has more to do with set and setting which are very important.

Bummers or bad trips are actually very good if they are in the right setting. One of the worst things to do according to the experts in the field, is to cut short a bad trip by administering thorazine or some other drug to bring the person down. It is important to allow the patient to experience and work through uncomfortable or so-called "bad trips". When allowed to work through it, very good results to theraputic mental health occur.

Good point, you can still use the original Swiss formula and still get a "bad trip" as different people have different reactions to the same stimulus. Although not trying to "cut short a bad trip" by use of medication can lead to permenant psychosis, especially if the patient used high quantities of the drug in question.
