I have a whole 'other' take on this matter, and I think it will make sense. It's not necessarily the right take, but a valid consideration.
There are people within the JW (albeit a small percentage, but an extremely evil one) who rape and control young women and men. It's entirely possible that she was raped and/or traumatized, and this is the story that was presented ...
In these instances, it's always best to discredit the victim ... and think about how the lifetime JW girl could be so easily entrapped ...
