    Five Little Monkeys Witnesses

Five little JW's walking down the street

one fell down and broke both her feet

    the elder called the PO

    and the PO said

More field service, meetings, talks and studying till she's dead

    so

Four Little Bethelites working on the farm

one fell down and broke his arm

    the overseer called the GB

    and the GB said

More field service, meetings, talks and studying till he's dead

    so

Three little attendants working the assembly

one fell down and broke his knee

    the CO called the DO

    and the DO said

More field service, meetings, talks and studying till he's dead

    so

    Two little pioneers selling magazines

one fell down and broke her spleen

the publisher called the service overseer

    and the overseer said

More field service, meetings, talks and studying till she's dead

    so

One little witness left, feeling all alone

He fell down, but got back up on his own

He started to question, and feel so free, and great

No more field service, meetings, talks and studying, cuz he's APOSTATE.

    Love,

    Netty,

P.s. Have a lovely Friday evening, wherever you are, whatever you are doing!

Thats a cute little rhyme Netty, thx!

Sadly though as I read it, it seems to contain more truth than fairy tale.

I give it two thumbs up!

    Netty,

I got a real giggle out of that one.....except the Bethelite would be sent home so his family could take care of him (as no expense to the WTB&TS) and to ensure that he does his study, field service, etc. etc. etc.

One bro from our New Bedford, Mass. congo spent about five years in Bethel. The years -- mid to late 50's. This brother developed some dental problems while working there. I guess there would've been quite an expense to fix him up so they sent him home, told him to have his family to fix him up with proper dental care. Yeah, right. Both his parents were retired and lived hand to mouth.

After that, they said, you can reapply for Bethel service. The bottom line: we are not here to take care of your problems.

It wasn't long before his mother wasn't playing the piano at the KH to lead the songs. It wasn't long before this bro came stumbling into the KH door during a public meeting, drunk. Yes, he was disfellowshipped, and we thought -- how terrible of him.

It was only after I left that I began to feel empathy for that brother. I called him a few years ago thanks to the internet phone listings and we had a fairly good chat. He, however, still feels they have the truth yet says he doesn't have the will to go back.

    Very discouraging indeed.
