*stares longingly out the window of her domestic cage*
Jeannie, this reminds me of the song White Bird:
WHITE BIRD
It's A Beautiful Day
White bird in a golden cage
On a winter's day, in the rain
White bird in a golden cage
Alone.
The leaves blow 'cross the long black road
To the darkened sky, in its rage
But the white bird just sits in her cage
Unknown.
White bird must fly or she will die
The white bird dreams of the aspen tree
With her dying leaves turning gold
But the white bird just sits in her cage
Growing old
White bird must fly or she will die
White bird must fly or she will die
The sunsets come, the sunsets go
The clouds float by, the earth turns slow
And a young bird's eyes do always glow
And she must fly
And she must fly
And she must fly
White bird in a golden cage
On a winter's day, in the rain
White bird in a golden cage
Alone.
White bird must fly or she will die
White bird must fly or she will die
White bird must fly or she will die
White bird must fly.
Wow, Flyin... I think if I'd have read that last night, I'd have cried. I forgot about that song.
*sorry, depressed rant over*
J
JeannieB - coco channel considered white to be a very fashionable skin colour. Or have I got that the wrong way round?
(Katie strolls in on Sunday morning, sausage sandwich in hand, steaming coffee, sat on couch in underwear cos getting dressed is such a drag)
lol...what is it with you and meat...? Is this some kind of subliminal message? hahahaha

(((((((((Jeannie)))))))))))) I know how that feels. It's good that you reached out to us. I hope that helped you.
I have the MP3. I am listening to it. There are times I cannot listen to it because it's so sad. But tonight I can listen. The first time I heard the song was when my late brother Cory played it for me because he thought it was so beautiful. It's funny, for some reason for so many years I thought it was Jefferson Airplane that recorded it, only to find out it was done by A Beautiful Day. The song makes me think of my own melancholy mother and then later myself before I wised up and admitted to me that the JWs were clueless.
I love the haunting violin in the arrangement.....oh yeah and the string plucking.
