In defense of J-Dubs who post here, AKA JWD opposers!!!

  I understand 144001. I have been on the recieving end of her ad hominem attacks. I signed off on a thread one night, and came in the morning to 16 hours worth of attacks and taunts as if my silence had to do with her devastating logic.

  I also am not on the same level as many of you here. I have lost much to the cult, but compared to many it is a scraped knee. I know it might be difficult for many to hear me, of all people, speaking on behalf of AFIN in particular.

  But I really do think it is best if we let her speak. Better for her, and for ourselves.

  And as far as her name calling, it really doesn't hurt anyone but herself. She exposes herself everytime as having nothing else to offer. You tell me who is really insulted.

  ... and you have to admit 144001, AFIN does have guts to come here and duke it out with all of these cranky, well informed, ex-jws.

  In my opinion afin is just another human trying to find and live a decent life. Just like we are doing.

  Don't turn your enemies into caricatures. If you do, you can lose your humanity, and even become your enemy.

  CYP ,there are some posters here that are jws and come here as friends and not to belittle but to make friends. They do not call names or push their jw teachings on us but real people with no agenda on their minds and no malice and those people i consider real friends . Most of us have had the jw crap shoved down our throats for so many years that one tires of hearing how all great the jw s are and we are worthless Apostates who hate God and are treated like locust. There are limits to how much some posters will take abuse and after being a jw ,many will not take anymore.

  I understand K, that is why I said the above. I guess I don't mean to say that we should put up with anything.

  I just think it is more fun to get them here, out in the open where they can't use their little threats, and intimidation techniques to get people to stop saying things they don't like.

  I only read AFIN's posts on Gringojj's thread about his wife...but I must say...I saw no name calling on her part. In fact, quite the opposite. She seemed to be the butt of quite UNCIVILISED debate by a number of posters on this board. From an objective viewpoint, I would definitely say that the posters attacking her were not able to discuss things without getting emotional. It was rather embarassing for the board.

  I only read AFIN's posts on Gringojj's thread about his wife...but I must say...I saw no name calling on her part.

  Well she did tell me something about not casting pearls before the swine... somehow I have a feeling I might be the swine in her illustrations. At any rate, I have had previous experience with her doing just that sort of thing.

  But regardless, you are absolutely right. We should never let other's bad behavior be an excuse for our own, for in doing so we allow people, we probably don't like, determine our behavior. Some of the responses to her are what actually helped motivate me to write this post. That and a post asking that we screen new members (apparantly tongue in cheek)

  And I still say AFIN has a lot of guts to come here!!! Say what else you want, you can't take that away from her!!!

  CYP , if jws want to post on a Apostate site i have no problem but i will not tolerate them calling names and that seems to be their practice as it is with AFIN.

  Maybe we should also look for people calling dubs all sort of things, when they post something.
