"Help your child rebuild his or her shattered self-esteem through a steady outpouring of parental love."

Assuming that the parent is not the on doing the abuse and it is common knowledge that it is most likely going to be someone close to victim who does the molesting.

Some legal experts advise reporting the abuse to the authorities as soon as possible. In some lands the legal system may require this. But in other places the legal system may offer little hope of successful prosecution.

Who the heck would suggest any differently? Oh yeah the WTS but they can't come out and say that.

Notice how by implication they're saying it is not required to do so in all lands, and that it might not do you any good anyway.

How about we rewrite this little statement?

Some legal experts advise reporting the abuse murder to the authorities as soon as possible. In some lands the legal system may require this. But in other places the legal system may offer little hope of successful prosecution.

My blood is beyond boiling after reading this. I was molested for years by my stepdad, who was a MS. On top of that, my mom knew what was happening, and did nothing to stop it. Years later he was at a JC meeting invovling one of my sisters. She asked him about it in front of the elders and he admitted to it. NOTHING was done.

He later remarried a JW woman who had 2 small girls. I couldn't have lived with myself if something were to happen. I called the Orange County CPS and told them what he did to me. I told them I had no way of knowing what was going on now. They investigated him and they were divorced not long after that.

They will stop at nothing to protect their own!
