hi i have been doing some reasech in to the Jehovahs Witness since i started going out with my girlfriend her mom is a Jehovahs Witness and has told me a little about what ya'll believe and i thought some of it sounded a little off to what i believe so i have been studing sertain doctrins of the Jehovahs Witness such as the one about Jesus not being God and this has upset me alittle that ya'll have so much disregard to who Jesus really is so i found some prof that supports the believe that Jesus is God and i would like to hear some fead back to what ya'll think thank you very much

But this is a site primarily of X-XJW's...we aren't big on the Trinity....for the most part.

We are NOT JW's however...

Please though....check out this site and you just might learn something...at the least you'll have something to share with your JW girlfriends Mom.... get educated...it's a dangerous cult...

That wasn't a question. That was a preach. I agree with you. The JW doctrines reduce Jesus to less than God. Doing so has all kinds of implications.

The Watchtower Society has systematically reduced Jesus' status in their bible - called the New World Translation.

You won't convince a JW that their bible is bogus by just telling them - or by using another translation to show that theirs is wrong. You will have to go back to the original greek to show them. That sounds difficult, but it really isn't. There are some good Greek Interlinears out there that show how badly the New World Translation mangled the scriptures. There are also websites out there that have compiled lists of texts that are mangled by the Jehovah's Witness bible and what the implications of those mangled texts mean.

This is a good one that actually uses the Society's own Greek Interlinear against them. Complete with scanned images. (But I suggest you get a different Interlinear than the JW one)

Actually this whole site has some great stuff. But this page on the JW bible and how they render the same Greek word for worship differently for God (rendered "worship") than for Jesus (rendered "obeisance"). Then the Society changed what the word obeisance means in the Reference book called "Insight On THe Scriptures" (ask your girlfriends mom to see those books (set of 2)). In that book they categorically state that obeisance does NOT mean worship - but look it up in any dictionary and you will see that it in fact does. But cults do this: change the meaning of common words to fit their doctrine.

Since the original poster is long gone, just post and run I guess, maybe someting about 3-1-ity.

The non trinity was one of the things that I liked in the jw teachings.

for me trinity is very strange for some reasons:

1) It is just illogic

2) God is everlasting, jezus has been born I think

3) if jezus was god, and god is outside time, the time jezus was death did not mean anything. he was outside time.

Maybe there are some answers to this. For me it is not a issue now anymore anyway. Maybe just some thoughts...
